Virtual Company Formation

The Department of Secretarial Practice organised a unique session on ‘Virtual Company Formation and Interaction with Industry Experts’ for the I BA students. The department students were divided in two groups and were guided by the faculty throughout the semester to form a virtual company with its logo, brochure, rules and regulations, tagline, policy matters, nature of business, budget, their portfolio and the various responsibilities to be discharged by the team members. Initially this new concept and the instructions were given by Mr. Royston, the industry expert and also the BOE member of the department. The students collected the information through the net and by interacting with the faculty, business experts and also the City Corporation for the procedure to follow to form a new business.

The resource persons were Mr. Royston Pinto the proprietor of Lumino matrix digital technologies, Mr.Tahir Imran the owner of Hala enterprises, Mr.Jeethan Castetelino the director of NLITE Energy solutions, Mr.Bharath Shetty, digital marketing expert, and Mr. Norman from textile industry.

On 22 February, 2022 the above mentioned industry experts had a session with the students in the campus. Students presented their report in groups and the resource persons interacted with students and gave suggestions how to improvise and what are they expected to do for the next semester. All the aspects related to their syllabus were practically applied by the students to get the exposure to the corporate world and enhance their employability/entrepreneurship skills. The industry experts have also promised to give the internship opportunity for best of the students from the next semester.
