On 14/02/2026 a group of 7 Final year students as a part of ATC activity visited Mussanjee Old Age Home, Kulshekar, under the guidance of Mrs Pooja Assistant Professor Department of Commerce. On our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by unit co-ordinator, they provided us with a detailed introduction about the old age home, explaining how it was established, its mission and objectives, and how it is maintained through the efforts of dedicated staff members and the support of donors and well-wishers. He also briefed us about the residents, their daily routine, and the type of care and services provided to them. After the introduction session, we were offered small snacks. Unit Co-ordinator explained the precautions that should be taken while working in the institution. They stressed the importance of maintaining hygiene, being patient and compassionate, handling residents gently, and communicating respectfully. He then introduced us to the staff members and workers and assigned duties to each student according to the needs of the institution. Some students were placed in the kitchen department to assist with cooking and food preparation. Some were assigned to patient care, helping residents with their daily needs. A few students assisted with medication under supervision, while others were given the responsibility of observation and spending quality time interacting and talking with the residents.

During our visit, students actively participated in helping the residents with walking, assisting in cooking, playing games with them, and spoon-feeding those who required support. The interaction was heartwarming and gave us a deeper understanding of empathy and service. After the residents had their lunch, we spent a little more time with them, sharing smiles and conversations, and we received small tokens of appreciation from them. The visit was truly a meaningful and enriching experience that enhanced our practical skills, teamwork, and sense of social responsibility. We are sincerely grateful to Ms. Soujanya for guiding and encouraging us throughout this activity.
