The Department of Secretarial Practice organised a Life Skill session on ‘Voices That Move Markets’ on 30th August 2025 in A2 Hall, Ms. Aswathi N, a Social Media Strategist and Freelancer and an Alumna of the college, was the resource person for the day. Ms Aswathi N, the resource person, shared valuable insights on how the market is powerfully influenced through digital media. The session offered a clear understanding on how social media is used professionally for the effective market growth. She informed the students saying in order to continue in this field one need to be the influencer and optimize their profile. She highlighted the key aspects such as well-defined profile photo, effective cover pages, creation of diverse content formats, enhancing visibility etc. will contribute to enhance their growth.
Her guidance on monetizing practical skills, such as to master skills to prepare PowerPoint, learn practical strategies on content research, planning, and scheduling posts at right time for maximum reach and engagement, to have a competitive spirit, upgrade communication and public speaking skills, etc.
She concluded the session with an actionable knowledge and fresh perspectives on leveraging digital platforms effectively. She motivated students to apply these strategies in their personal and academic journeys too. Students clarified their doubts and it was an interactive session.
Ms Sowjanya, Ms Sharmila, and Ms Dhatri of I BA students began the programme with a prayer song, Ms Mariyam Shaima, Ms Katheeja Nada of III BA, welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks, Mrs Shanthi Nazareth, gave the concluding remarks. Totally 44 students and 2 of the staff benefitted from this session.
