The session began with Venessa from 2nd MBA welcoming the gathering, followed by a prayer led by Cliyon from 1st MBA. Vanshita of 2nd MBA delivered the welcome address and introduced the guest speaker, Dr. Annette Sonia Maben, to the audience.
Dr. Annette Sonia Maben commenced the workshop by introducing herself and began discussing data and its various types used in research. She elaborated on measurement scales such as nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio, explaining their application in research work. She then moved on to the concept of sampling, emphasizing how the population and sample size influence the type of research conducted.
Further, Dr. Maben explained the correct approach to formulating a questionnaire and cautioned students against relying on ChatGPT to create one. She also covered data analysis methods, highlighting different tests used to check the adequacy and consistency of collected data. In addition, she discussed the use of SPSS software, outlining various statistical tests students can apply for data analysis.
The workshop concluded with a Q\&A session, during which Dr. Maben addressed students’ queries and clarified their doubts. The event ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Roncita of 2nd MBA, followed by a group photograph.
