10/01/2026 & 14/02/2026As part of the community service initiative, ATC students of St Agnes College conducted a community outreach program at St Marys primary school falnir. The main aim of this program was to educate school students about basic computer knowledge and create awareness about the importance of computers in daily life.

The program was conducted on two consecutive Saturdays. On the first Saturday, students were introduced to the basics of computers. They were taught what a computer is, different types of computers, and the main parts of a computer such as the monitor, CPU, keyboard, and mouse. The uses of computers in education, offices, hospitals, and daily activities were also explained.

On the second Saturday, the previously taught topics were revised. Additional explanations were given to help students understand better. Interactive sessions were conducted where students were encouraged to ask questions and participate actively. Simple examples were used to make the learning process easy and interesting.

The students showed great enthusiasm and interest throughout the program. Many students actively participated and responded well to the sessions. The program helped improve their basic understanding of computers and increased their curiosity about technology.

In conclusion, the ATC Agnes community outreach program was successful and meaningful. It helped spread computer awareness among government school students and strengthened the bond between the institution and the community. Such programs play an important role in promoting digital literacy and social responsibility.
