The programme commenced with a warm and gracious welcome address by the Sports Secretary, Anwith Shetty, who greeted the dignitaries, participants, and audience. The event was honoured by the presence of esteemed guests: Sr. Maria Gloria A.C., Principal of St. Agnes High School; Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C., Principal; Sr. Dr. Roopa Rodriguez A.C., Vice Principal; Sr. Dr. Vinora A.C., PG Coordinator; and Dr. Tangarani, Physical Director. Their presence added prestige and encouragement to the event.
A total of 96 students actively participated in the tournament, representing six teams. Over the course of the competition, the players displayed remarkable talent, determination, and teamwork. Each match was marked by thrilling moments, strategic gameplay, and commendable sportsmanship, keeping the audience engaged throughout.
The finals were particularly intense and showcased high-quality cricket. After a series of competitive matches, Team Oggy emerged as the champions of APL Season 4, demonstrating exceptional coordination and skill. MCA United B secured the runner-up position after a commendable performance.
Individual excellence was also recognized and celebrated. Siddesh was awarded the Best Bowler for his outstanding bowling performance, while Anwith Shetty earned the title of Best Batsman for his consistent and impressive batting. Danish Moosa was honoured as the Man of the Series for his all-round contribution and exceptional performance throughout the tournament.
The tournament not only highlighted the athletic abilities of the students but also fostered values such as discipline, leadership, unity, and sportsmanship. It served as a platform for students to showcase their talents and build camaraderie beyond academic boundaries.
The event concluded on a joyful and celebratory note, with the college community congratulating the winners and appreciating the efforts and participation of all teams. APL Season 4 was truly a memorable and successful event, leaving behind a spirit of sportsmanship and enthusiasm for future tournaments.
