The Department of MBA, St. Agnes College, Mangaluru, organized a series of skill-building sessions titled “Pathway to Placement: Sharpening Skills for Success” for the II MBA students, commencing on 19th August 2024. The program, consisting of 12 sessions, was designed to enhance the employability of students by focusing on key aspects such as Aptitude, Group Discussions (GD), and Mock Interviews, essential for securing placements. The sessions were conducted by.
The sessions were meticulously structured to cover the following core areas:
1. Aptitude Training:
- The initial part of the program focused on enhancing the students’ quantitative and reasoning skills.
- Concepts in mathematical aptitude, logical reasoning, and data interpretation were covered, helping students sharpen their problem-solving abilities.
2. Group Discussion (GD) Sessions:
- Students were trained on effective communication, leadership, and teamwork through practical GD sessions.
- Emphasis was placed on how to present ideas clearly, listen actively, and collaborate with peers in group discussions, which are a vital part of recruitment processes.
3. Mock Interview Sessions:
- Mock interviews were conducted to simulate real-world interview scenarios, providing students with a platform to practice answering technical and HR-related questions.
- Personalized feedback was given to each student to help them improve their responses, body language, and overall presentation skills.
The sessions received positive feedback from the students. Many expressed that the practical, hands-on approach of the training was highly beneficial in enhancing their skills and boosting their confidence for upcoming campus placements.
