The Department of Business Administration (MBA), organised a workshop titled “Career Compass: Navigating the Next Stage of Learning” for the final year BBA students on 03 February 2026 at the Seminar Hall, Centenary Block. The workshop was designed to guide undergraduate students in making informed career decisions and to help them understand the importance of aligning academic learning with industry requirements.

The programme began with a warm welcome and introduction by Ms Joylene, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, who briefed the participants on the purpose of the workshop and highlighted the significance of career planning at the undergraduate level. Her address set the tone for the sessions that followed and encouraged active participation from the students.

This was followed by a case study presentation on Jaipur Rugs by Athmika, 2nd MBA, which provided valuable insights into entrepreneurship, sustainability, and strategic management practices. The case study helped the students relate theoretical concepts to real-world business situations and stimulated analytical thinking.

An engaging quiz session was then conducted by Vaishnavi and her team from the 2nd MBA, which generated enthusiasm among the participants. The quiz tested the students’ knowledge in management and general business.

The highlight of the workshop was the session by Mrs Sheryl Preethika, Head of the Department of MBA, who addressed the students on the importance of critical thinking, understanding market requirements, and developing skills relevant to the evolving business environment. She also familiarised the students with the Department of MBA by explaining the specialisations offered, opportunities for participation in academic and co-curricular activities, and the overall learning experience provided by the department.

Further, Durgesh from the 2nd MBA conducted interactive activities that encouraged student involvement, creativity, and collaborative learning. These activities helped reinforce the concepts discussed during the sessions in an engaging manner.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Athmika, 2nd MBA, expressing gratitude to the faculty members, organisers, and participants for their support and active involvement. Overall, the workshop was successful in achieving its objectives and was well received by the participants, who found the sessions informative, interactive, and motivating.
