The students visited the adopted village of Kotekar to conduct a door-to-door awareness campaign on malaria and dengue.

The group, comprising 42 ATC students (17 B. Com and 25 B.Sc. students) and 2 lecturers, assembled near the open-air stage at 9:55 AM. Attendance was taken prior to departure, and the team left the college premises at 10:15 AM. Accompanied by faculty, Mr. Chethan and Ms. Akshatha, the group proceeded on foot to Bendore Junction, from where they boarded bus number 42. The bus journey concluded at Kotekar Bus Stand, and the team then walked to the Kotekar Panchayat Office, arriving at 11:10 AM.

Upon arrival, Health Officer Mr. Vikram welcomed the group and gave a brief introduction about the area and guidelines on how to approach residents during the campaign. The students were offered tea and biscuits as refreshments. A group photograph was then taken with key officials, including Chief Officer Ms. Malini, Health Officer Mr. Vikram, Community Mobilizers Ms. Aarathi and Ms. Chaitra, along with other Panchayat members.

The students were divided into two groups of 21 students each, accompanied by one lecturer and one community mobilizer. The groups visited a total of 33 houses of 1st and 2nd ward, where they were warmly welcomed by the residents. Using informative charts and banners, the students effectively communicated key information on malaria and dengue. Pamphlets were distributed, and residents were educated on preventive measures and precautions to be taken to avoid the spread of these diseases.

After the house visits, the students reconvened at the Kotekar Panchayat Office at 1:20 PM. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Roslin. Following this, students Prerana and Srinithish shared their experiences from the field visit.
