The Departments of MBA and MCA of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organised a Campus Problem to Innovation Solution Exercise on 31st October 2026 at 9:30 AM in LH1, Mother Aloysia Centenary Block. The exercise aimed to encourage students to identify campus-related challenges and develop innovative solutions by applying their management knowledge, technological skills and creative thinking.
The student team presented an innovative concept titled “Agnes Connect”, envisioned as a unified digital app to simplify the college experience. With the tagline “Your college search, simplified”, the proposed app aims to bring academic updates, administrative information, announcements, event details and other essential campus services together on a single platform. The idea seeks to reduce dependence on multiple communication channels and make information more accessible to students and staff. The exercise brought together MBA and MCA students, combining their management and technological perspectives to develop a practical, campus-focused solution. While the MBA students contributed to identifying user needs and understanding the value of an integrated service, the MCA students brought in the technological perspective required to conceptualise the digital platform.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Principal, Sr Dr M. Venissa A.C., Mrs Sheryl Preethika, Head of the Department of MBA, and Mrs Akshatha, Head of the Department of MCA. Faculty members of both departments were also present and encouraged the students. The MBA students who participated were Anisha Pereira, Shareen Vanya Lobo, Thasma Rai, Bhavishya J. K. and Glen Fernandes. The MCA students were Nikhil, Nikhil, Suhan, Mokshith and Earl Clement Eusebius Ambrose.
The exercise provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, creative thinking and problem-solving. It highlighted how identifying everyday challenges and combining management and technological knowledge can pave the way for meaningful innovation and improved campus experiences.
