The Department of Computer Animation conducted a workshop on “Eco Comics: Where Art meets Environmental Awareness” on 28/07/2025 in A2 Hall from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with Mr. Jeevan Acharya as the esteemed resource person. Mr. Acharya is a distinguished visual artist, jewellery designer, and illustrator, known for his unique artistic expressions and creative versatility. A total of 23 students participated in the workshop which included students from B.A and B.Sc.
The session focused on the integration of ecological themes into comic art and aimed to equip students with essential tools for visual storytelling. The topics covered during the workshop included Forms and Shapes, Expression Sheet, Proportions, Incorporating Satire in Art and so on.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and live sketching. Mr. Acharya encouraged creativity while emphasizing the role of art as a medium for environmental awareness. The workshop concluded on an inspiring note, motivating students to think critically and creatively about the world around them and to use their artistic skills to address pressing ecological issues.
