St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru conducted the launch of Agnofest 2022 at the Administrative Block on 27th April, 2022. The launch introduced the theme of the year’s Agnofest, along with introducing the committee members behind the planning and preparations of the event.

The commencement of the launch had a crowd of students who were enthusiastic and eager for the drop of the banner revealing the theme for this year’s Agnofest. The theme: Imperia was revealed with a beautiful banner drop by the college administrator Sr Carmel Rita A.C., vice principal, Sr. Clera A.C. staff coordinator, Dr. R Nagesh and student coordinator, Ms. Rhea Sequeira. The banner displayed the theme “Imperia” with a historic Roman design with the tag line “Race To the Throne”

The national level Intercollegiate fest, Imperia, will take place on the 19 May 2022; a day of seven exciting events with colleges competing from all over India.

The vice president of commerce, Ritusha Harish, introduced the committee members – staff coordinator, Dr R. Nagesh, Assistant staff co-coordinator, Ms. Amora Monteiro, staff representative of B.C.A., Ms. Sreevalli Shetty, staff representative of B.Sc., Ms. Prajwal, staff representative of B.Com., Ms. Sheryl, staff representative of B.B.A, Mr. Elson and staff representative of B.A., Ms. Anna Una Crasta – to the gathering.

Adding to this team are the student representatives: student president, Ms Rhea Lilia Sequeira, vice president of science, Ms. Kripa Maria Rasquinha, vice president of commerce, Ms Ritusha Harish, vice president of B.B.A., Ms. Akanksha Shetty, vice president of Arts, Ms. Jessica D’Souza and representative of B.C.A., Ms. Duha Sayedh.

After the introduction of the committee members, the College Administrator Sr Carmel Rita A.C. addressed the students encouraging and inspiring them. The students were fired up as Dr Nagesh addressed them, revealing the chief guest for Imperia – singer, songwriter and Indian Idol Finalist, Nihal Tauro.   

The Agnofest 2022 launch ended with an energy fuelled flash mob by the students.
