The students of 1st M.Com. were taken on an industrial visit to “COORG – THE SCOTLAND OF INDIA” on the 12th December, 2019. A group of 22 students along with Mrs. Dolan Banarjee and Ms. Dalia D’souza attended the same. The journey began on 12th morning at 7:00 a.m. from St.Agnes College in a private hired bus and reached Madikeri at around 11:00 a.m. to head towards ‘Sumukh Ice-creams’ in Kushalnagar industrial area, Coorg.

The owner of the factory, Mr.Sharavan, gave a tour of his factory showing the various procedures in the preparation of the Ice-cream which went through different process to become the final product. He even served the students with a sample of the same, which was very delicious.

The bus then headed towards the Tibetan colony where the students got to see the Golden temple, its beautiful architecture and the culture of the Buddhist community at around 12:30 p.m. After a wonderful temple tour and purchased at the colony, the journey then continued in search of a local restaurant so as to enjoy the local delicacies.

After a delicious lunch, the students visited Raja Seat at around 3:30 p.m. and took in the magnificent nature’s view. Then headed back towards Mangaluru at 5:00 p.m. carrying along lots of information, memories and experience.
