In a bid to cultivate leadership qualities and promote entrepreneurship among its students, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru took a significant step forward by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Young Indians Mangaluru (Yi Mangaluru) on 28 March 2024. Young Indians, a prominent initiative under the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), is dedicated to shaping a generation of proactive individuals committed to India’s growth and self-sufficiency.

The MOU underscores the shared vision of both institutions to empower youth with the skills and mindset necessary to lead and innovate. Through collaborative efforts, St Agnes College and Yi Mangaluru aim to create a platform for students to explore their potential, engage in entrepreneurial endeavors, and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.

Young Indians, through its visionary framework and steadfast commitment, has been instrumental in nurturing leaders, builders, and innovators who are poised to drive India’s progress in diverse fields. By partnering with St Agnes College, Yi Mangaluru seeks to extend its impact and reach, thereby enriching the educational experience and opportunities available to students.

The signatories of the MOU were Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C, Principal of St. Agnes College, and Ms. M. Athmika Amin, Chairperson, Yi Mangaluru, along with Mr. Durgadas Shetty, YUVA Chair, Yi Mangaluru.

Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership with Young Indians Mangaluru is a testament to our commitment to providing holistic education that equips students with the skills and mindset needed to excel in an ever-evolving world. Through this collaboration, we aim to inspire and empower our students to become agents of change and contribute positively to society.”

Ms. M. Athmika Amin, Chairperson of Young Indians Mangaluru, shared her optimism about the collaboration, stating, “We are excited to partner with St Agnes College to nurture the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
