The department of psychology forum in collaboration with Nature club, organised a SAPLING DISTRIBUTION DAY on the occasion of VANAMAHOSTVA, held on 23rd August 2025. The event was aimed at creating the awareness about the importance of trees and encouraging students to contribute to a greener environment.

As a part of program, Saplings were distributed among students and staff members across the campus. Several participants also contributed by bringing additional saplings, which further enhanced the impact of the event. The initiative created awareness about the importance of tree plantation in combating pollution, conserving biodiversity, and maintaining ecological balance.

The programme was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 7, 13, and 15), focusing on clean energy, climate action, and life on land. By connecting the activity with these goals, the event emphasised the importance of individual contributions in achieving global sustainability.

Overall, the drive was successful in spreading the message of environmental responsibility and inspired the campus community to adopt sustainable practices. It not only celebrated Vanamahotsava but also reinforced the idea that small actions, like planting a sapling, can lead to a significant positive impact on the environment.
