“Street plays have the power to build confidence and ability in you”, said the resource person Ms Pinakini Shetty Guest Lecture Department of Commerce in an Enlightening session on “Street Plays” at St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangalore on 29 November 2019. The session was aimed at I BA Non-Catholic students as part of their Human Moral Science Subject.

The session started with the brief history of Street Plays while commenting on the drama industry. The elements of the Street Plays were highlighted by the resource person and explained the need to cultivate each of them while performing. While recalling her experience as 50 years old drama character in her first ever short film Ateeta, she said, “Observations and Imaginations are two key aspects for a drama artist. We need to observe and imagine the character before we perform”. The students benefitted from the session as it was very interactive with role plays, games and activities.

Ms Deekshitha Prashanth Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism & Mass Communication compeered the session. Ms Jayashree, Assistant Professor, Department of Micro Biology handed over the token of appreciation to the resource person. Other faculty members who handles the Human Moral Science Subject for I BA students were present in the occasion.
