The session highlighted essential qualities of active listening, including presence, clarity-seeking, non-judgment, and constructive feedback. It also addressed common communication challenges and provided practical tips for effective communication, such as being clear and simple, using appropriate body language, thinking before speaking, and continuous practice.

The speakers further explained how adopting a positive perspective helps individuals overcome self-pity and blame, thereby building resilience and confidence.  Real-life examples of successful personalities were shared to inspire students to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, develop leadership skills, and foster self-belief. The interactive nature of the session encouraged student participation and made the learning experience engaging and impactful.

The program was coordinated by Vineetha N T, Head of the Department of Commerce, under the guidance of Sr Dr M. Venissa A.C., Principal. The event proved to be a meaningful initiative that enhanced students’ awareness of essential soft skills and motivated them to cultivate a positive and empowered mindset for success.
