The BCA Department, in collaboration with the Placement Cell and in association with the Magic Bus Foundation, organized a five-day training program from 5th January to 10th January 2026. The program was designed to provide final-year BCA students with a balanced mix of soft skills and technical training, preparing them for both academic progression and professional careers. Each day focused on specific themes such as self-awareness, communication, teamwork, artificial intelligence, goal setting, cybersecurity, and interview preparation. The sessions were conducted by experienced trainers who combined interactive activities, practical exercises, and theoretical knowledge to ensure holistic learning.

Day 1 (5th January 2026): The first day was conducted by Ms. Famida and began with an energizer game to relax students and encourage active participation. She introduced the Magic Bus Foundation, founded by Matthew Spacie on 14th February 1999, and explained the schedule of the program. An icebreaker activity helped students interact with one another, creating a collaborative environment. The main focus was on Self-Awareness, where students reflected on their strengths, weaknesses, and life dreams. The session also covered Self-Appraisal, with an activity guiding students on how to introduce themselves effectively during interviews. This helped them understand the importance of confidence and clear communication in professional settings.

Day 2 (6th January 2026): The second day was led by Ms. Ishika Ghosh and focused on the Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence. The morning session introduced students to the types of AI and their applications across different domains. Interactive discussions and activities deepened their understanding of AI concepts. The afternoon session emphasized Prompt Engineering, teaching students how to frame prompts effectively to obtain accurate responses from AI systems. Students experimented with prompts across various AI tools, gaining practical exposure to the strengths and limitations of different models. The day provided a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied aspects of AI.

Day 3 (7th January 2026): On the third day, Mr. Joshua Daniel from the Magic Bus Foundation conducted sessions on Communication, Active Listening, and Teamwork. The session began with an explanation of communication styles—passive, assertive, and aggressive—supported by videos showcasing good and poor workplace communication. Activities such as the Opposite Game tested listening skills, while a narrative video exercise allowed students to demonstrate comprehension and communication abilities. In the afternoon, a team-building activity was organized where groups created newspaper outfits under the guidance of a designated “boss.” This exercise encouraged creativity, collaboration, leadership, and persuasion, making the day highly interactive and insightful.

Day 4 (8th January 2026):  The fourth day focused on Group Discussion, Goal Setting, and Cybersecurity. Students practiced group discussions, learning the importance of clear communication, effective listening, and constructive feedback. Trainers introduced the SMART framework for goal setting, guiding students to draft personal roadmaps for their future aspirations. The cybersecurity session highlighted the importance of digital safety, discussing common online threats and practical tips to protect personal information. Real-life examples and demonstrations made the topic relatable and easy to understand. Fun games and team challenges were integrated throughout the day, reinforcing key lessons while keeping the sessions lively and engaging.

Day 5 (9th January 2026): The fifth day was conducted by Ms. Sowmya, a senior trainer with extensive experience, and focused on Interview Skills and Resume Writing. The morning session covered practical interview tips, common questions, and strategies for confident responses, with emphasis on body language and clarity. After a lunch break, the afternoon session centered on resume writing, where students learned about different formats and how to present their skills effectively. The interactive nature of the session allowed students to draft and refine their resumes under trainer guidance. The day provided valuable insights into professional presentation and interview preparation.

Day 6 (10th January 2026) The final day was conducted by Ms. Fahmida from the Magic Bus India Foundation and focused on Mock Interviews and Roleplay. The session began with an energizer activity called Parrot and the Cage, which engaged all students. The trainer emphasized the importance of body language, confidence, and strategies for answering interview questions. The highlight of the day was the mock interview and roleplay exercise, where selected students acted as HR managers and interviewed their peers under trainer guidance. This provided practical exposure to real interview scenarios, helping students understand the dynamics of job interviews. The session concluded with feedback and reflections, reinforcing the skills developed throughout the program.

The five-day training program successfully combined soft skills and technical training, offering students a holistic learning experience. From self-awareness and communication to AI fundamentals, teamwork, goal setting, cybersecurity, interview skills, and mock interviews, the sessions were interactive, informative, and impactful. Organized by the BCA Department in collaboration with the Placement Cell and Magic Bus Foundation, the program equipped students with essential competencies to enhance their employability and prepare them for successful careers. The initiative not only prepared students for immediate placement opportunities but also instilled lifelong skills crucial for personal and professional growth.
