Workshop on ‘Front End Web Development Tools’

A two-day workshop on ‘Front End Web Development Tools’ was organised on 20 and 21 December 2022 at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru. The workshop was organised by the Postgraduate Department of Big Data Analytics in collaboration with Kakunje Software Private Limited, Mangaluru for the I and II year students of the department. The dignitaries at the inaugural included Sr Dr Vinora A.C., P.G. Coordinator, Mr G. K. Bhat, Managing Director at Kakunje Software Private Limited, Mangaluru, and the resource persons Mr Prithvi Gavin Dsouza, Technical Head, Research and Development and Mr Shreejith K., Technical Head Operations at Kakunje Software Private Limited, Mangaluru.

At the inaugural, Mr G.K. Bhat highlighted the need and importance of Front-end web Development tools in the industry. He emphasised that the ability to develop front end applications would gain an advantage in the industry and that the workshop would help students work towards skills expected in Industry. The workshop included extensive programming exercises combined with front end design tools and to integrate back end tools in an application with front end tools.

The P.G. Coordinator in her address highlighted the need for students to be equipped with various tools used in the industry.

Scripting languages such as HTML and JavaScript along with CSS were included on the first day of the workshop. Database tools such as php were included in the second day of the workshop.
