The PG Department of Business Administration (MBA) and the Department of Computer Applications (MCA) jointly organized a Yoga awareness session titled “Yoga for Life: One Earth, One Health” on the occasion of International Yoga Day, 21st June 2025. The session aimed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through the practice and philosophy of yoga.

Ms. Archana Kiran Shah, an experienced Art of Living Teacher, served as the resource person for the event. She elaborated on the meaning of yoga as the “union of body, mind, and breath,” and explained how true yoga is attained when one experiences self-awareness and inner stillness.

The session introduced participants to Pranayama, emphasizing its role in energizing the body (Prana – life force) and cleansing the internal system (Ayama – regulating the energy). Specific techniques like Bhramari Pranayama were demonstrated to help relieve stress, migraines, and headaches.

Participants also practiced Nadi Shuddhi Pranayama, a technique for reducing stress and anxiety. Ms. Archana emphasized that meditation is not just about focusing on something but also about letting go. She inspired the students to be aware of their thoughts without resisting them – whether good or bad.

She reminded students that our body is a beautiful gift from God, and through meditation and yoga, we can experience inner calmness and harmony. The session beautifully tied the concepts of health and sustainability, reminding everyone that both go hand in hand.

Benefits highlighted during the session:

  • Peace of mind
  • Improved immunity and blood circulation
  • Release of toxins from the body

Rashmi (MCA) warmly welcomed the guests and participants. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Princiline from MBA.
