The students of III B.C.A. and III B.Sc., St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, on 26 November 2022, visited Babbukatte Government Primary School and Government Higher Primary School Munnuru as a part of ATC (Agnes Towards Community). Students were divided into groups. There were a total of 20 B.C.A. students and 22 B.Sc. students.

The purpose of the visit was to teach the students the Basics of Computer and to give awareness about Malaria and Dengue. Emphasis was laid about the importance of computer in modern world. The students were also taught about how Malaria and Dengue diseases spread, how one can prevent it and how it can be treated. The programme was a success. The students were very interactive. All their doubts on the above topics were cleared. Because of the above programmes, students got an idea about the basics of computer and about the spread of these diseases.

A PowerPoint presentation was shown to the students about the topic. Along with the presentation, students of the school were given the opportunity to use the laptop that was taken by the students of St Agnes College. All the students were so enthusiastic, attentive and cooperative in listening to the topics explained.

The visit was supervised under the guidance of Mrs Seementhini Fernandes and Ms Megha Shenoy, Assistant Professors, Department of Computer Applications. They guided the students in the entire process and helped to make this visit a success.
