The Youth Red Cross and Sports Association organised a session on “Nourish & Move: Building Healthy Habits for Life” on 3 September 2026 at St Agnes High School. The programme aimed to create awareness among school children about the importance of healthy eating, regular physical activity, and healthy lifestyle practices.

Ms Srinika, First Year B.Sc. student and YRC Volunteer, and Mr Shaun, Final Year B.Com. student, served as the resource persons. They interacted with the students and highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition, healthy food choices, and developing good habits from an early age.

As part of the programme, Dr Tangarani, Physical Education Instructor, conducted an engaging Zumba session. The children participated enthusiastically, making the session both informative and enjoyable while emphasising the importance of regular exercise and physical fitness.

The programme was coordinated by Mrs Nimitha K, Programme Officer, Youth Red Cross, and Dr Tangarani, Staff Coordinator, Sports Association, with the support of Ms Shamitha Sathish, Secretary, Youth Red Cross, and Ms Shristi Mooliya, Secretary, Sports Association.

The session successfully encouraged the students to make healthier food choices, stay physically active, and develop positive habits for a healthy and active life.
