SGT Sathwika R Bhat, a cadet of the NCC Army Wing of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, has been selected to participate in the India-Bhutan Youth Friendship Camp (Youth Exchange Programme), scheduled to be held in Bhutan in November 2026.

Sathwika has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming one of only four cadets from Karnataka selected for this prestigious programme. Her selection is a proud achievement for the St Agnes NCC Unit and adds another significant accomplishment to its legacy of excellence at national and international levels.

The India-Bhutan Youth Friendship Camp aims to strengthen friendship, cultural exchange, mutual understanding and cooperation among young people and NCC cadets from India and Bhutan. The programme will provide participants with opportunities to interact with cadets and youth representatives, participate in cultural exchange programmes and team activities, and engage in various educational and social initiatives.

Sathwika is currently pursuing her B.Sc. degree at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.

Republic Day Camp Achievement

Sathwika also had the opportunity to participate in cultural activities at the Republic Day Camp (RDC) in New Delhi in 2026. Based on her active participation and achievements in various NCC camps and activities, she was selected by the NCC Directorate Headquarters, New Delhi, for the India-Bhutan Youth Friendship Camp.

The NCC Army Wing of St Agnes College (Autonomous) functions under the 18 Karnataka Battalion NCC, Mangaluru. The unit has been consistently working towards developing discipline, leadership, self-confidence and a spirit of national service among students by providing cadets with opportunities to participate in national-level camps, competitions, cultural programmes and youth exchange initiatives.
