Ms Neha, Assistant Professor and Fitness Trainer, addressed the students on the importance of responsible information sharing in the digital age. She emphasised that information received through social media and other digital platforms should not be shared immediately without verifying its authenticity.
She highlighted the need to analyse news critically, check the source, cross-verify facts and understand the context before forwarding or sharing any information. She also cautioned students about fake news, misleading content and online manipulation, stressing that irresponsible sharing can contribute to the rapid spread of misinformation.
The session also focused on the importance of media literacy in helping individuals distinguish between credible and unreliable information. Students were encouraged to develop the habit of questioning information, verifying facts and considering the possible consequences before sharing content online.
