The department of Microbiology,St Agnes college(Autonomous) organized blood typing program as an extension activity in association with NSS unit of Government First Grade College for Women, Balmatta ,Mangalore for the students of Government School ,Balmatta, Mangalore.
11 students of St. Agnes college (final MZC class) under the guidance of Mrs Vidya Patali volunteered and performed blood typing for 44 School Students of Government School ,Balmatta, Mangalore.
The objective of the program was to check the blood group of the school students to enter the details in their identity card and to create an awareness about significance of blood and blood groups .
The program started at 2:30 pm and ended at 4:00 pm.
