The Department of Business Administration, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized a workshop on Career and Employability Skills on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, for the second- and third-year BBA students.
Dr Francisca Rabello, Founder, MD of WiZdom Ed, and Dr Guru Tej, Co-founder and CAO of WiZdom Ed, were the resource persons. The programme commenced with a prayer song and welcome address by Ms Reema, a third-year BBA student.
The session highlighted the importance of self-belief, confidence, and overcoming psychological barriers to support both personal and professional growth through thought-provoking concepts such as the “Elephant Theory” and an illustration on building trust between employers and employees. Dr. Guru Tej emphasized the significance of professional appearance, body language, and effective communication in creating a strong first impression, and he also introduced short psychological activities to help students identify their personality traits, behavioural patterns, and interpersonal skills, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session that allowed them to clarify doubts regarding career planning, self-improvement, and workplace readiness.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms Reema. The programme was witnessed by Ms Anitha S, Head of the Department; Ms K. M. Chethana, Convenor; and Mr Meslon D’Souza, Assistant Professor.
