The Department of Nutrition and Health Education, St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized a Healthy Tiffin Challenge on 2nd September 2026, at 3.00 pm in NHE lab to encourage students to make nutritious, balanced, and appealing food choices for everyday meals. A total of 6 members participated in the competition and enthusiastically showcased their creativity by preparing healthy and wholesome tiffin options. The participants were encouraged to focus on nutritional balance, variety, portion size, taste, presentation, and hygiene while planning their dishes. The challenge provided students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge of food, nutrition, and healthy meal planning in a practical and creative manner. Participants demonstrated how simple, locally available ingredients can be combined to prepare nutritious and attractive tiffin meals suitable for everyday consumption. The activity also emphasized the importance of choosing homemade, nutrient-rich foods over highly processed and less nutritious alternatives. Students presented their dishes and explained the nutritional benefits and ingredients used, making the competition an informative learning experience. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and active participation. The Healthy Tiffin Challenge successfully promoted the message of healthy eating, balanced nutrition, creativity, and mindful food choices among students.
