Agnesian Association Mangalore conducted an Agnesian Alumni throwball match on 29 January 2024 at St Agnes College grounds. Two teams participated. Captain of Team A was Asha Menezes and captain of team B was Lydia Dcosta. It was a match which consisted of 3 sets. Winning points were 15 each. Both the teams were equally strong. A lot of effort was put into pooling the talented players from various batches. Our ladies came forward and were extremely happy to play the match.
The tournament was a feat to the spectators as the participants put their best foot forward to win the game for their team. It was a spectacular match with mighty throws, intelligent drops and match turning services. There was a tough fight between the teams. After a tough tussle, the referee declared the winning team. Team B emerged as the winning team and Team A Runner up. Prize distribution ceremony was conducted after the tournament. This match brought back old memories.
