The resource person explained the process of manuscript writing and publication, highlighting the essential components of a research manuscript and the steps involved in preparing it for publication. Students were introduced to researcher identification platforms and were guided through the creation of ORCID ID and Researcher ID profiles.
The session included hands-on training on searching for appropriate journals using the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) platform. Participants learned how to evaluate journals based on their rankings, scope, and relevance to their research work. The resource person also demonstrated manuscript-matching techniques to help researchers identify suitable journals for publication.
The programme was interactive and provided practical exposure to the tools and resources required for academic publishing. Participants actively engaged in the activities and clarified their queries regarding manuscript preparation, journal selection, and publication procedures.
