In her session, Ms Deviah focused on jobs for students with a degree in English in the age of AI. She gave an account of the job scene in occupations in areas such as Technical Communication, Corporate Communication, Digital Marketing, Journalism and Media and the Orange Economy. She demonstrated how English is the new language of Coding, and how writing is now prompting for results. She illustrated how to prompt effectively and added notes on ‘upskilling’ and writing of resumes with keywords in mind. While communication is the new bridge between technology and people, content strategy is the new mantra, Humans are still in the loop as specialists with strong language and critical thinking skills are required to ensure that AI is accurate,ethical and safe,she said.
The presenatation was followed by a question and answer session. Mrs Geetanjali Prabhu delivered the Vote of Thanks. Dr Zubaida H, Head of the Department was the convenor of the session. The session was conducted on Gmeet.
