The Department of Hindi, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized a Guest talk on “Rashtriya Ekta”on Saturday, 26 November 2022, to boost nation’s unity and spread awareness about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution to the country. To commemorate the same a talk was organized. Dr MukundPrabhu, Associate Professor,HOD of the Department of Hindi, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru was invited as the Chief Guest. Dr Shailaja H.G., Head, Department of Hindi welcomed the gathering. The other faculty members Dr R. Nagesh, Dr Uday Kumar B. were also present for the session.
The Chief Guest spoke on the topic of National unity and imparted immense knowledge regarding it among the students. He emphasized on the meaning of National unity and its importance. He threw some light upon the emergence of the sense of unity among the common folk. He also spoke about the statue of Unity and described SardarVallabhai Patel. He concluded his talk by sharing the reasons that hinder National unity and solutions to overcome the hindrances. Dr Uday Kumar B. proposed the Vote of thanks. Overall it was an informative session.
