Group 1:
15 NSS volunteers of St Agnes College along with NSS Co-ordinator Mr.Derik Dias initiated the Swacch Bharat Programme on 6th July 2019. Under this programme the volunteers cleaned the littered roads of Ambika Nagar. They rendered 5hours of service .The plastics and other wastes thrown in the sides of the road were cleaned. And also weeds grown along the road was removed. There was good support by every volunteers and also the localities rendered a helping hand by serving water for all of them. The day was well spent by rendering a social service, motivating and educating people about the plastic free nation.
Group 2:
20 NSS volunteers of St. Agnes College along with the NSS Co-ordinator Mrs Helen Serrao initiated the Swacch Bharat Programme On 6th July 2019. Under this programme the volunteers cleaned the littered roads of the location Kana of Hosabettu village. They rendered 5 hours of service in the afternoon from 12:30 to 5:30.In addition, 3saplings were planted. Ms Prathibha Kulai(the area corporator), arranged for the tools and the vehicle to dispose off the garbage collected from that area. Rotarians Mr Naveen Kumar and Mr Rajendra. P supported the programme and motivated the NSS volunteers with their presence. The cleaning drive ended with refreshments provided by the corporator.
